Hey there, I got page five sci-fi horror in color, finely! Martin and I have been fortunate enough to have an amazing colorist join us for this project, his name is Chuck Michael Obach. I'll continue to replace b/w pages with colored pages from him as I get them. I'll also post a link to more of his work too. Until then, enjoy the page, in color!
Finely, I got this sci-fi horror story done! Let me tell you about my personal life, while working on this 'horror' story. It truly has been a horror working on this story, not because of the story itself, it was a blast. But I have seemed to go through so many trials and tribulations in the past four months (non of which were related to this project) and now that I have wrapped this story up, they appear to be ending now. My life appears to be getting back to normal, It's like I'm waking up from a nightmare, but the scary thing is the nightmare was my reality, at least while working on these pages.
. . . . . . Then again, maybe that 'black ooze' really did seep right out of the script, out of the pages I was working on, and begin to infect my own reality with its horror . . . . it makes me wonder.
As I was preparing this latest post, I just realized something; The only way I can communicate with people is through art, but it seems the people are not responding to what I have to tell them (which is my art) and it's hurting me a little bit. I need people to respond to my art, that's the only way I can communicate with the world. If you were to meet me in person, and I responded to whatever you said to me, you would probably immediately begin to shut me out. So this is the only way I can communicate with you, and have you listen, and hopefully respond back. Please respond, support, whatever. If you don't. I believe you are serving Satan's purpose (sorry for being so harsh, blunt, whatever).
Let's see, what to say, what to say . . . . only two more pages to go, and the samples will be finished. And yes, I wasn't lying when I said the horror would be amped up in the next couple of pages, so read on and enjoy!
Whew!! Thought I lost my touch. For anyone out there actually reading these posts, hope you enjoy the new page. Martin's amped up the horror content for the last three pages, so be prepared for what's to come . . . .
There's only one thing I gotta say about this page: What a BITCH! It may not look bad to you, but believe me the original has more flaws than you can count on both hands. Little shit, but it adds up, and makes the whole thing look like shit. I fixed them all and the digital version looks much better. Not only this, but I had to put the page up several times before I got the chance to begin inks, and the lead became more smeared and darkened the page up even more. To sum all this bullshit up:
I blame my troubles on this page on Sgt. Morey for coming every morning at 4:00, and fucking my whole biological clock up. Making me tired as shit every day. Thanks shitty ass Ft. Stewart. Thank you very much.
Getting closer to finishing this short story from Martin. I hope it goes places, and I hope it not only entertains, but benefits someone out there. I think I'm going to start working simultaneously on a Swipe promo piece as I near completion on this project. My mind is already starting to salivate at the thought of it. So, I hope the big black empty void that I'm writing to acknowledges this new material, and bids me a good journey unto its end.
Got page five done. Nothing much to say other than I'm tired, and I need to go to sleep. Drank a little bit tonight, and about to drink a Java Monster before I go to bed.
Yet another page to Martin's script, I'm throughly enjoying working on this script. I haven't drawn sci-fi in quite a while, and it's a nice change from the fantasy stuff I'm been doing in the past. Finely got a colorist for this story, and he's actually quite good. You can check his stuff out here:
